Moffat County Tourism Association Resources
Moffat County Tourism Association, formerly known as the Lodging Tax Panel, was established in 1989 pursuant to a Moffat County resolution and Colorado Senate Bill 23. A 1.9-percent lodging tax in Moffat County provides the funds for the organization to promote its local attractions through various publications, trade shows and other projects.
MCTA Mission: The Moffat County Tourism Association strives to allocate funds that will enhance and broaden tourism in and effort to enrich the lives of the residents of Moffat County. We believe tourism is defined as the act of bringing out of region visitors to our communities to experience Moffat County.
MCTA Vision: The Moffat County Tourism Association Board of Directors is a responsible steward of public funds to promote tourism in Moffat County that enhances all visitors' experiences while retaining a high quality of life for its residents.
The Moffat County Tourism Association Board of Directors is composed of seven board members and one ex-officio member. The ex-officio member is a member of the Moffat County Commission, the board that oversees MCTA and the lodging tax fund.

MCTA Director - Melody Villard
Melody is a native to Moffat County with five generations of homesteaders, ranchers, teachers, politicians, and hard working productive citizens of Moffat County inspiring her passion for her home. Sharing this beautiful and bountiful county with you is what she loves to do.
The MCTA Board holds their regular meeting on the first Wednesday of every month at the Yampa Valley Bank in Craig at 435 Mack Lane. The public is welcome to attend, the meeting starts at 11:00am.
